LOVAT Single Shield TBMs consist of a Cuttinghead, Forward Shell, Stationary Shell, Trailing Shield. The Single-Shield TBM is ideally suited for excavation of rock Tunnels where a primary segmented lining in required.
The Single Shield TBM can also be provided in any of the available Operational Modes (Open, Semi-Pressurised and Pressurised) as well as include various ground conditioning options.
LOVAT Single Shield TBMs have been used on projects to excavate rock ranging in strength from 30MPa to 300MPa.
